JD McGeown Ltd delivered the complete electrical services package for the Queen’s University Belfast School of Management development at Riddel Hall.

The project comprised the development of a new 4,000m², four‑storey facility, along with the partial refurbishment of the original Riddel Hall building (Building 01) and the adjoining existing structures (Buildings 02 and 03). The scheme incorporated a wide range of academic and support spaces, including general teaching rooms, lecture theatres, and both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching laboratories. The building also features a striking triple‑height foyer, café, and breakout areas, supported by extensive administrative and ancillary accommodation. A full basement level accommodates plant areas, main electrical switchrooms, and underground car parking. External works included comprehensive landscaping and site development, with the overall project achieving a BREEAM “Excellent” sustainability rating.

JD McGeown Ltd continues to deliver complex, multi‑discipline electrical installations across all sectors, providing clients with reliable, specialist, end‑to‑end solutions.

Managing Director James McGeown commented:
“We are proud to have contributed to the successful completion of this landmark project at Riddel Hall. The quality of collaboration and workmanship across all teams has delivered an exceptional facility.”
