QUB Integrated Medical Centre

Posted May 5, 2016.

LOCATION: University Terrace, Belfast
CLIENT: Queens University Belfast
MAIN CONTRACTOR: Mc Aleer and Teague
COMPLETION DATE: December 2014

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Integrated Medical Centre at University Terrace was subject to a major refurbishment and an extension as part of Queen’s University capital expenditure programme.

This scheme for a new Integrated Medical Centre for Queen’s University Belfast comprised the refurbishment and extension of 7 University Terrace, a grade B1 listed building, which was formerly the Manse to the adjacent Grade A listed Elmwood Church.

The development entailed the refurbishment and remodelling of the main Manse building and a contemporary new build two–storey extension, designed to respect the setting of the listed buildings. The building provided purpose designed accommodation for the University Health Centre (UHC), together with additional space for complimentary activities, such as a Dental Practice, Physiotherapy Practice or other Health Trust Accommodation.
